Buying 2012 911 Turbo accessories?

Babette Deloe: The Turbo model currently being sold by Porsche is a 2011 model. The actual "all new" Turbo, with all of the new features such as the seven speed manual transmission and nearly four inches longer wheelbase will not be out for a year or two, and may be a 2013 or even 2014 model. Porsche usually does it this way: first the Carrera, Carrera S, and cabriolet versions of these, and the special models later. These first four will begin selling in the U.S. about .. NOW.You can buy a "2012" Turbo if you find a dealer with one to sell; however, be aware that it is not the "all new" 911. As to accessories, don't' fool with silly stuff like Park Assist and Tire Pressure Monitoring, these just add weight and slow the car down. If you think you want to track the car, get the coupe. The PDK 'automated manual' (a seven speed) is considerably faster than any human can shift. Depends on whether you like to row or not. The supposedly fantastic new German super stere! o is not available in the current Turbo ... you'll have to do with the Bose system in a 2012 car (I have this Bose 12 speaker system in my Turbo, and it's great; I can only imagine what the new one will be like).A 2012 911 Turbo has 500 HP; the "all new" Porsche 911 Turbo should have in excess of 530 HP. Frankly, either one will knock your socks off.Get the PASM, Porsche Active Stability Management; PTV, Porsche Torque Vectoring, and the Sport Chrono (Launch control Turbo). I like the rear wiper (an option), and the Porsche crests in the front seat headrests. Consider the 20" wheels, as opposed to the standard 19" ones....Show more

Charissa Riley: Just get the conventi! onal Stick Shift Transmission. The new 2012 model has a 7 spee! d manual. Get PASM and the Sport Chrono Package. Aluminum Trim. And your set.
