Samatha Nicar: Does Philosophy Test On Animals
Raul Lushbaugh: The Philosophy company tests only on humans, but some of the ingredients that they receive may have been tested on animals. This goes for a lot of the cosmetic companies. When asked why Philosophy's bottles didn't say "cruelty free," they responded with this:"thank you for your recent inquiry regarding animal testing. please be assured we do not testphilosophy products on anything other than human beings; however, some ingredients that are universal in the cosmetics industry have been tested on animals at some point. due to this, no cosmetics company can state that its ingredients have never been animal tested. philosophy inc. is committed tousing alternatives to animal testing to insure the safety of o! ur products.please know i have forwarded your suggestion to state the products arecruelty-free to our research and product development team for further consideration!have a great day!"Hope that helps. : )...Show more
Rosalia Hibler: No way! They would never!
Rena Pepe: so, if no company can claim that their items are cruelty free, because some of the ingredients are purchased from wholesalers of ingredients, and they cannot say they are not tested on animals, why has no large wholesale supplier tried to create such a company? Seems like a great idea, and would improve the sales of cosmetics and skin care products, hair care, etc. if all those not using animal testing themselves, can also legitimately claim that any ingredients they use are ALSO not animal tested. This is upsetting to me, because now I feel I can no longer trust the 'bunny' emblem on ANY product....Show more
