Questions for JYP/SM/CUBE entertainment .?

Malcom Fenoff: HiiI have some answers^^1. Do I have to be fluent or know how to speak in Korean for me to pass the audition?--Well, from what I've heard from other people, you'll have to know atleast alittle for korean. If you make it in, then they'll probably teach you korean. 2. I'm 14 years old. Am I too young?--Nono, the age of 14 is pretty good to start with^^3. My dancing and rap is good but my vocals are not that good. Is it really bad?--It's not bad, because they'll train you. Or you'll become a rapper (F(x) Amber)4. I live faraway from korea, I live in Singapore, how can I audition? Do I really have to do live auditions?--If you live far away, you can either go to South Korea, or send it from mail. Just go to their site, and they'll a section where you can audition.5. I'm not korean, I'm a Indon Extract with mixed indon blood. Does it count against me? Will they accept me ? I only know the basics of korean language like hello, bye etc . Will they give me korean la! nguage lessons ?--Hmm, well, South Korean Entertainments chooses Korean, Chinese, etc. I think that you're going to need to learn more. They will give you korean language lessons. 6. I'm not tall (just 1.5 m I guess) and I don't have the good skin like koreans have (because of our weather in our country) but I have fair skin.--You'll probably grow as you get alot older, but I think it's fine (For Example: F(x) Sully: when she was 13 or 14, she was 4'10. But now because of puberty, she's 5'6 no I think)7.I have 5 years of dancing experience but i do not think my vocal is amazing just normal . Do you think i can get accepted ?--I think you can get accepted because either way, you'll still be trainee. But you'll probably do like few years of training. 8. And if ever I pass the 1st audition by email, will I have to go to korea for another live audition? Is it me who'll pay my expenses? Where will I stay?--Probably, yes. For paying, I'm not that sure, but I've heard they pay you! . But if not, then no. You'll probably stay at a hotel or so. ! 9. How to sent audition by email ?--Go to their sites, and you'll find a section where it'll say audition or so. 10.What is the difference among all this companies ? Which want emphasize on looks more and which one emphasize on talents ? --JYP: 50%-50% on both Talents and Looks--SM: More looks than Talents--YG: More Talents than Looks11. How long does it take for them to nofiy me ?--Probably few weeks or few months. If you don't get any reply after, then you didn't pass. But because of how there's sooo many people around the world who's auditioning and sending, they probably don't really check because there's sooo many.12. Where is the place of the audition ?--Place? Like the Site? -JYP: http://audition.jype.com/-SM:http://audition.smtown.com/-YG:http://www.yg-audition.com/13. Will they let me sing english songs ? And would they understand me ?(because i don't understand korean )--Of Course!^^ You can either sing English or Korean I guess.--BUT! YOU must know at least littl! e korean! (But again, they'll teach you korean^^)14. Do they accept only thin/slim people ?--Probably, but if your not thin/slim, then they'll probably push you to make it thin/slim, or Plastic Surgery. Any more questions? you can e-mail: tiffanieoh@yahoo.comI'm also auditioning (for YG).Hope I helped you well^^and Hope you do well on the auditions!^^...Show more

Sunshine Holets: 1. If you're really good at dancing, why wouldn't they take you, anyways, they'll still have to train you in dancing and singing. and if you really don't have a pretty voice, they'll make you rap and dance. rap isn't that bad... or sing little parts.. but will put you in the front to dance. 2. well it does a bit. you should start trying to lose some weight. 3. technically, they don't force you, but they presure you. well i'm talking about SM, almost all their idols did plastic surgery. but for the others (JYP CUBE and DSP MNET I have no idea) i don,t know. but it's your choice, if you think y! our noise isn't pretty you do it and they'll be happy. 4. i don,t get t! hat question... but if you mean how long have people trained? well it depends on you, it can last to 2 to 10 years. whether you are really good and progress really fast, you'll debut in a group or solo pretty fast. but if you're slowly learning, it'll take time. JYP says that when you train, you have different teachers and you debut when all the teachers say that you,re ready. but for the others i don't know. But keep in mind that SM aims for perfection and beauty. 5. if you look like an asian they will. I know that the well known companies tend to accept other nationalities such as chinese, taiwainese, thai... but i,m not sure about bruneian. but look i just read that some company accepted a hispanic that looked like an asian. but keep in mind that they,re looking for asian. but you can still try. they are looking for asain but are still very open. 6. if i were you, i,d try for JYP first. they treat their artsit well and they train they well. but they are very selective (a! nd from my point of view are more open... you'd get a better chence there). SM is a good company. but they don,t treat their artist well. they prioritize money over their artist. i've even heard a case of beating. and they are very very very about the looks. DSP you have to speak korean other wise you'll fail (Other their website they say, you have to speak korean and it is your fault if you fail, it,s not our problem... they are mean... but don't doubt that they are a bad company) And for CUBE, they just held an international audition throught youtube (It's over now) but i don't know what they ask for. Did i demotivated you? oh... i feel like i sounded like "Don,t do it" but i'm telling you honestly that you should try. you can't lose anythig by trying right? And one last comment, the soooner you audition the better chances you get... because they try to make debut their trainees the sooner so they can last longer (for them, you,re staring to get old at 30) REally reallly ! good luck! I hope you make it!...Show more

Galen Gowers: (1) No, ! you on't have to be but atleast know the basics.(2) No. they are actually looking for young trainees(3) Not actually. If they see something unique in you, you'll get in. JYP are looking for great performance then the looks. In SM's case, they are usually looking for looks first then the talent.(4) You Can email your auditions to them. Well SM is kinda busy right now with their Global Auditions in Korea so your mail might not be entertained. But they will surely look into it.(5) As long as you are asian or look like asian its ok. If you will be a trainee they will teach you.(6) Height doesn't matter (weight does!).(7) Well yes, if your good at dancing. In the KPOP industry, they are actually paying attention to dancing. so must atleast be good at it. In SM auditions, even if you audition as a singer, they will ask you to dance also.(8) If you pass the first one, they will tell you where to go next (for the second round), the final round is in Korea where you have to sing in ! front of the casting team. All expenses will not be shouldered by SM unless you are already in a debuting group. if you arrive in korea, someone from SM will wait for you in the airport, you will live temporarily in a dorm where other foreigners live and some trainees. (But debuting trainees live somewhere else)(9) you can visit their website. They have instructions there. they will tell you what to include.(10) JYP looks for talents, SM are more on looks then the talent will follow. Im not sure how Cube works.(11) It depends. the longest is 3 weeks.(12) Cube just had their Global audition on Youtube. But the first round is already finish. you can audition online. Or you can go to korea.(13) Yes. you can sing some familiar english songs. (14) Not actually, if you are good, they will let you in. then they will put you on diet to shed weights.
