If a video game maker makes a lot of sales with his video game does he get any of the money from the sales?

Rubye Bonnin: Usually a video game designer would design the game and sell it's rights to a company like activision, bethesda, etc for a price and that is all you would make. Of course if you make a game and its sails are really high, your next game you design could sell for more. I'm sure every video game company is different, but you would have to read the fine print on the contract you would have to sign.
