Buy Family Circle and leave it lying around- although they would never admit to reading it, they probobly will, and get their own ideas. The Taste of Home website has lots of very simple recipes- and a search engine for number of servings, number of ingredients, time, etc... but this one is my daughters own creation: Scallops and Peas in MarinaraHeat water in a large pasta or sauce pan to boiling. Add 1/2 box spaghetti noodles and cook according to package directions. Drain. In a large skillet, heat 1 tbs olive oil and add 1/2 pound fresh bay scallops, quickly stir while cooking for about 3 minutes. Add 1 cup peas- cook in the microwave according to directions, or just run warm water over frozen ones until thawed.
