Does your dog...steal your laundry?

Marcellus Exler: Nope... they prefer to eat the laundry literally :)XXX

Abby Herwood: Some dogs like to steal things that are close to their humans. Some like panties, and some like socks. Some even like stockings and tights. It's kind of funny.

Coleen Carignan: Why is it so important to find a cute dog? Isn't it more important the breed & temperment suits your lifestyle? Don't knock the adults they are not in shelters for being bad dogs.Dachshund Mix-maleWinky-Dachshund x Yorkshire Terrier http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?pe...No-name-Dachshund x Beaglehttp://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?pe...Charlie-Dachshund x Italian Greyhoundhttp://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?pe...Bayley-Dachshund x Labradorhttp://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?pe...Dachshund x Cocker Spanielhttp://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?pe...Dachshund x Cocker Spaniel-Special needshttp://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?pe...Guss! Ginny Trickett: Try www.kijiji.com

Azzie Trembly: to do this for you we need a zip or town to shearch in i tried but need the! info frist i found 4 minis in fl all need homes

Hye Cau! lley: its cuz ur clothes have ur scent on it and ur dog loves u!!! its a cute puppy thing. they get over it...sometimes. and yeah, my dog steals my laundry a lot too. but he got over it and now steals my homework.

Margart Stimpert: My dogs steal my laundry, especially my male dog. I hate to say it, but they both fancy dirty underwear and chew them all up. Anything I sweat in they will chew up too so I have to be careful with my work out clothes.Nasty, but it just has something to do with scent. Dogs love heavily scented items (why else would a pile of trash appeal to them?). But dogs will also mix scent with the alpha. Some debate this, but I always thought it was a way of getting a stronger version of your own scent on them to show that they are yours....Show more

Emile Midgley: It's cause Loki loves youuuuuuu!haha :)I don't know why..silly dogs.Penny does this too..she thinks it's a funny game. She picks it up and runs as fast as she can then drops it an! d looks back at me too see if I'm goinh to try and catch it.....Show more

Robt Betker: Yeah, my puppy steals my underwear, shoes, and socks. He does not chew on them, he just carries them somewhere and sometimes he tries to get me to chase him with it. My puppy just wants to play. Are you leaving the baskets of laundry where he can get to them? If so, then you are just enabling him to continue this behavior. I try my best to keep my laundry room door shut so he can't get into the laundry.

Rayford Latz: I MEANT FIND! SORRY

Von Houskeeper: Start out at http://www.petinsurancereview.com to see customer ratings of all the companies. Even though VPI is the oldest, they actually have one of the lower ratings. People are very unhappy with benefits schedules (list of how much maximum they will pay for each treatment).I'd suggest to go with a company that does not have benefits schedules, and to also skip routine care and spay/neuter, etc. You are paying a lot! extra every month for something that you will only use once (spay/neut! er) and routine coverage typically costs more than what you would pay at the vet.I have Trupanion for my dog and they are great. They don't have benefits schedules and cover 90% of your actual bill. They also don't have claim limits or annual limits, just a lifetime limit. Plus you can get hip displaysia coverage (not sure what breed your dog is, if you need it) if you sign up before your dog turns 1. Plus they don't increase your premiums as your pet gets older which I believe just about every other company does. Glad you're looking into pet insurance because now anything that happens in your puppy's life will be covered :)...Show more

Mildred Pombo: You can look them up yourself. They'll look anywhere from corgi to schnauzer, like all other mutts of that same mix.

Arleen Bussing: i can't find any on petfinder for virginia. but north carolina has some.

Emile Midgley: your dog loves you. Or at least your scent. One of our cats favorite sleeping places! is the laundry hamper of one of our twins. The other twin is jealous, but they are 12 so whattyagonnado?Feel good knowing your dog loves you.Loki = mischief making Norse god....Show more

Patricia Bolduc: you have got to be kidding me health insurance for pets, what will they think of next, i can't imagine what it costs a month, i would calculate the normal expenses a year that the coverages handlesexample, insurance won't cover cancer, won't do shots, won't do other dogs bites, so once you figure out what it does cover, calculate what that would cost you out of pocket divide by 12 then your chances of that happening next. with a 100.00 delectable. the little search i just did on the internet shows that it just isn't worth it....Show more

Jasper Mangel: These guys aren't pure breed dachshunds, but they sure are cute!http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?pe...http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?pe...http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaype! t.cgi?pe...Not all shelters and rescues are able to list all of their d! ogs that they have available. You will want to visit your local shelters also. You can also try looking for Dachshund Rescue Organizations.http://www.c2cdr.org/http://www.dachshund-dca.org/rescue.html...Show more

Robt Betker: it covers for emergency treatment that cost thousands of pounds

Sabra Roers: Yeah, my dog likes thick socks - nothing else though luckily!

For example one suggestion she gave you was Billy B, who's a great dog but in Missouri!...Show more

Shad Bushweller: hi just got an 8 week ! old puppy and i am wanting to know which is the best pet insurance to go withalso wanting to pay vets directchecked pet plan they are expensive do know any othermany thanks

Hugo Pittari: Because it has our scent on it... and our scent is the strongest, especially..er, in the underwear department, Alfie used to hide my sister and mums dirty knickers under my bed.... Gag!!Now we have a big basket with a lid :) But he still likes to dive in the smelly pile before mum puts it on to wash! Its hilarious seeing him trotting off with something, head high in the air. It drags on the ground and decreases running time 'cos he's so short ha!...Show more

Darrin Hixenbaugh: Go with Embrace Pet Insurance. They cover the most conditions, it's customizable to fit your financial situation, and it pays out directly to the veterinarian if he/she agrees to do that. Also, it pays based on the actual vet bill not a pre-determined set of allowances like VPI. I work in an emergency an! imal hospital and I must say it is tragic when someone has to euthanize! their pet family member because they cannot afford emergency treatments. Pet insurance IS worth it. Amie Cook, RVT...Show more

Jestine Osumi: Mutt!!! They're all gonna look different so there is really no point. And i hope by Schnauzer you're meaning the miniature schnauzer?? i can tell you this though...probably one really ugly dog!!

Gennie Shauer: miniature dachshund, male, baby, young, shorthaired, cute, & fairly low prices :)Thank you if you find a good dog for me :) ill give you a best answer & rating

Zelma Casebier: Shall I hang the hamper from the ceiling?

Rodrigo Pezley: VPI-Veterinary Pet Insurance is one of the better ones out there. They offer a puppy package that will help pay for the vaccinations, altering, blood work etc as well as accidents and such that puppies have a tendency to get into. The one to stay away from IMHO is 24 Hour Pet Watch. Many clients have had a hard time in getting the company to pay claims.

Lorelei Li! lburn: ugg yes it sooooo gross my chi goes for everything i hate it sooo freakin gross especially when she goes for the underwear! yea try the ceiling hopefully that works good lcuk!

Sena Highman: Um well I don't know anything about pet insurance but I've seen the latest Progressive commercial and it says that they protect your pet to and apparently from what they say on the commercial they are the best Insurance so my answer is: Progressive.Hope this Helps!! =)-animal lover♥♥♥...Show more

Sammy Kar: Yes, Kiko goes to the clothes basket, when I have the laundry room door open, he drags out the clothes till he gets to a sock then the race it on to get it from him....he loves socks, but does not chew on it, just runs with it, to make us play and and chase him. after about an hour, he lays down with his head on it and sleeps....he is so funny......Show more

Anibal Scheid: Skye- I see your a top contributor because you like to run your mouth. Your also ! wrong, a lot of mixed breeds have very central consistencies among the ! litters, so my question has a very valid point and potential answer. The puppy I have I believe is this mix so if anyone would like to actually answer my question with a pic it would be appreciated, if not please answer another question. No "mutt" responses please, I get it, but for fun I'm still trying to figure out what mix my puppy is....Show more

Nancy Mansell: When I'm folding, mine seems to always get out to the living room with one sock. Your dog loves you. Cute!

Lahoma Beadell: I couldn't find any babies in your area, but I found some young dogs that seem to be really nice!!! Take a look:http://www.petfinder.com/search/search.cgi?animal=...

Rocio Karvis: Ohhhh yeah, Sophie just finds it absolutely hilarious when she comes trotting happily out of your room with a sock in her mouth. Then when you say "Sophie!" in a stern but happy voice (It's just SOOOO hard not to laugh, she acts like she has her most prized possession with her and it makes her so ! proud!) she'll do her little play bow and dart out into the backyard, where she runs and throws that sock up in the air, frolicking and playing as if she were having the time of her life!...Show more

Rayford Speziale: Have you looked into Dachsund rescue? Often breed rescues have what you're looking for, and would transport to a good home from out of your area. Animals are driven to new parts parts of the country every week!

Booker Warlick: I think Loki gets most of his stash on laundry day when it's all sorted into piles...sneaky little devil!

Mickey Isle: Well, my dog Virgo ate windowsills, bed frames, couches, shoes, socks, bras, shirts, pants, blankets (Anything with buttons), slippers, pots, pans, door frames, carpet, basically anything she could get her teeth on. She was also famous for counter surfing to find the butter.

Catheryn Barringer: Lol my siberian husky dakota always takes my bras she carries it in her mouth around the house. Its ve! ry embarrassing because there were multiple times when someone came ove! r my house or something and she comes out with a bra hanging from her mouth. My mom tells me it comforts her when were gone or it reminds her of me because it smells like me im really not sure this is true but it kinda makes sense.

Gilberto Cratin: Simple solution: Put the laundry basket up high so your dog doesn't have access!

Alise Rutgers: He'll take yours because he can smell your scent on them, he loves you, aah, your loved!!l used to worry about Milly's sense of smell as she used to steal my hubbies socks!!.The smell that comes from his socks could have been used during the war as some sort of chemical warfare, they stink to high heaven!!!She'd take them and chew the toes off.She was a bugger for taking my knickers as well, and l'd find them hidden in her bed, bu! t she never chewed them, which is good as it would have cost me a fortune to replace them plus the socks.Molly my Lab who l lost to cancer used to help me with the laundry, if l ever dropped any clothes when taking them downstairs she would pick them up and drop them in front of the washer for me. She was a good girl. LOL...Show more

Melissa Lavallie: it covers for emergency treatment that cost thousands of pounds

Monty Sieloff: That is hilarious and cute! Maybe you should put your laundry baskets somewhere else before he drags all of YOUR clothes out!Loki smells you. Awww you are special! At night-time Sampson jumps onto the dryer when I swap the laundry and smells everything I put into the dryer. It is adorable! Chuckles could careless about the laundry. All he wants to do is sleep on his cozy bed! :DEdit - Yes, yes! Hang it from the ceiling! lol Hopefully he won't mistake it for a spring pole. :D...Show more

Robbie Starchman: Dakota likes to steal my shoe(just one of them) and she'll carry it somewhere and sit by it.Duke likes to steal my underwear and chew on them. They do it so they have your scent with them. Its their security blanket!

Stevie Kizziar: Underwear and socks are my pugs favorites. Clean or dirty! He likes to run around with them, and he doesn't like giving them back. He also had an attachment to my $300 Steve Madden pumps when he was a pup. He rarely goes after his "father's" my ex's stuff. We have joint puppy custody silly i know. I asked the vet and she said my scent is comforting to him.
