Corrinne Ruozzo: Health care and insurance are two different things. The insurance industry is there to make money. It just happens to provide healthcare as well.Look at the facts. In the US, more money is spent on healthcare per person than any other country in the world. And people live longer if they are born in Western Europe instead. Also, babies die in the USA that would have a better chance of life if born in western Europe. Should Americans be proud that the insurance system they have costs more and does not give babies the same chance of life if born abroad?...Show more
Moises Rupinski: You've confused me too.Health insurance is what you buy so if you have to go to the doctor they will pay your bills. Health care is the doctors and such that help take care of you.
Jana Sakasegawa: there isnt universal health care in the US its all private... maybe your getting america confused with india or Japan
Patricia Bolduc: unless it is single-payer! insurance it doesn't mean a thing. medicare is the universal health care. it just favors ripoffs because gop believes in trick down economics and lobbyists special favors.clean house in congress, get single payer (best bid wins) and start looking for someone to replace obama or, possibly, hillary. mccain ain't got a snowball's chance in hades.this is gonna get real nasty and the recession is gonna be worse than you think. big mess and a lotta pain and work ahead.clean up the u.s. congress. america is at the crossroads. the presidential race is just one element of this messed up situation. damn....Show more
Willetta Munhall: health insurance is privatized in the U.S. however, hospitals can not turn away someone in need of urgent treatment... however, they'll bill the citizen or the citizen's insurance company for said treatment after providing it...
Caryl Mclaen: Health care is a service provided. Health insurance is something you buy to help pay for the service! . Most people that don't have health insurance through their e! mployers can't afford it and as a result either don't get medical care or have to pay for it out of pocket, which is above and beyond what they're able to afford. We pay taxes to cover the cost of medical care for the poor that are elgible for it under government programs.
