The lens should also work on Minolta (Konica-Minolta) digital SLR cameras as well as on Sony dSLR cameras. Please note that if you want to use an external flash in addition to the built in one, you have to make sure it has the special flash mounting shoe required. There are Minolta made flashes for that camera as well as flashes specially made for those cameras by specialsed flash manufacturers like Metz....Show more
Myron Leftwich: IMO, you should keep the Maxxum and the Minolta lens and list the Tamron on eBay. Since the new Sony DSLRs can use the Tamron lens you have 2 potential markets - Maxxum users and Sony DSLR users. Of course, you could list the 7000 with the Tamron lens and buy a Sony A350 body and use your Minolta Maxxum lens on it.
